The Artist Behind Ekatz
I’m Ecaterina — a Cologne-based makeup and special effects artist with a passion for creative transformation. My journey has taken me around the world, living and working across international environments and cultures — experiences that inspire both my artistic approach and my ability to connect with clients in English, Romanian, French, and German.
Before stepping behind the brush, I was in front of the camera — working as an actress, catwalk and editorial model, and appearing in several film productions. I also spent years working with three world-renowned international airlines, where impeccable grooming and presentation were part of daily life. These experiences have deeply shaped my standard for excellence and client-focused service.
Today, I bring that same attention to detail and creative edge to every project — from beauty and editorial to special effects, face painting, film, television, and concept work. Along the way, I have had the opportunity to contribute to productions such as Westend Girl, Memories to Cherish, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, Landarztpraxis & Landarztpraxis am Sonnenhof, and Für alle Fälle Familie, while also collaborating with major names including Vodafone, ERGO, the IFS Internationale Filmschule Köln and the Berufsfeuerwehr Köln. My work extends beyond film and television into creative collaborations with children and weddings entertainment and animation agencies, music acts such as Die Rheinsirenen, youth and cultural centres like the Katholisches Jugendzentrum Neuss, as well as a wide range of private clients, artists, event organisers, and production teams.
